Employee Assistance Programs

Employee Assistance Programs are employer-sponsored plans that provide employees and their dependents with a specified number of free counseling sessions. The programs benefit both the employer and the employee by identifying behavioral health care problems before they become chronic, debilitating, and costly. Often, the difficulties can be resolved during the EAP sessions. However, if they cannot, the patient has the option of continuing on in longer-term treatment.
